What happens if you hit your horse’s poll?
The poll is a very sensitive part of the horse, and if the horse is struck at the poll, or accidentally bumps it’s head on the poll it can result in a problem with pain and/or equilibrium. We’ve had poll injuries on horses, typically I call both the veterinarian and the acupuncturist/chiropractor out for proper assessment and treatment.
