I ran across this and think I wil buy some canning lids that are resusable. I go through a lot of lids and this looks like it will be cheaper in the long run. I reuse the old lids for cold storage and things like that but these look like a better alternative to the one time use lids.

Its a rubber seal and a lid that you can reuse. The protocol for canning withthe lids is about the same but tightening is a little different it appears, than the one time use lids.

  1. I read some folks hatched Trader Jo’s Fertile eggs!
I saw some fertile brown chicken eggs at Uwajimaya yesterday for $4.99/dz.
    Very tempted.
All of my last batch of Costco’s Organic eggs were also fertile.
Some of the Egglands Best also that way. Hmmmm
Maybe it is a Spring thing??? Fertile eggs everywhere except for in my duck’s nest.
She went broody over 2 blue easter eggs…hahaha
But that would be an inexpensive way to hatch some eggs.
