I have had a lot of cichlids. I recently took down my fishroom though and only have one tank up and running. I was considering the blue tilapia to see hwo well they raise.

Haplichromis? I like lake Victorians but it's getting hard to get good specimens. I took down my fishroom not too long ago. Now I just do planted tank and aquatic plants.

I started a new aquaponics setup and added some Tilapia. They are the nile tilapia.

I have replaced the nile tilapia with dovii, aka wolf cichlids. They are growing very fast and eat a lot. They are still on the small size so they are not making a lot of fertilizer for the plants.

    I read some folks hatched Trader Jo’s Fertile eggs!
    I saw some fertile brown chicken eggs at Uwajimaya yesterday for $4.99/dz.
    Very tempted.
    All of my last batch of Costco’s Organic eggs were also fertile.
    Some of the Egglands Best also that way. Hmmmm
    Maybe it is a Spring thing??? Fertile eggs everywhere except for in my duck’s nest.
    She went broody over 2 blue easter eggs…hahaha
    But that would be an inexpensive way to hatch some eggs.
