Dont forget to insulate or leave dripping your outside faucets as the cold is here. I didnt drip one of my faucets well enough and it froze solid. It wasnt frozen enough to burst the pipe but I had to unfreeze it.
I unfreeze my faucets with a hand towel put in hot water and wrap it around the faucet for a few minutes. If need be I pour more hot water on the towel. As soon as some water starts to come out I adjust the drip and let it dribble until it unfreezes and then readjust the flow. Moving water doesnt freeze as easily as a closed faucet, especially with the pipe exposed to the wind.
